OnTime allows you to exchange information with other computer programs and systems in a simple way that is highly compatible. Virtually all information can be exported in the standard CSV (comma separated values) file format. This format can be easily opened and manipulated in other databases and spreadsheet programs such as Microsoft Excel.

Virtually any place where you see a list of data in OnTime, you can export that data to a CSV format. To accomplish this quickly, just select the records you would like to export and then press the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + C to copy the information. Then paste in a compatible spreadsheet program such as Microsoft Excel. In some lists you can also right click after selecting the rows and choose Copy from the context menu.
If you don't want to copy and paste the information, you can also export it directly to a file of your choosing. In many of the lists, you can right click after selecting the rows and choose Export from the context menu.
How to format the data you export
The lists that allow you to export data from OnTime also support manipulating the sorting (by clicking on the column headers), moving of the columns (by clicking and dragging the column headers), hiding and displaying columns (by right clicking and choosing Customize Current View), and filtering the information displayed (by typing in the search box). Simply use these methods to format the data the way you would like to see it. Then perform the steps described above to export your data. It will be exported in the same format is appears on your screen.
