Frequently Asked
Questions: SellingPoint Sales Edition
Get answers to the most commonly asked
questions.
Q. How many copies of
Sales Edition will my organization
need?
A. The number of licenses you
will need depend upon the number of
users who will be making use of
Sales Edition. Generally speaking, each
person in the organization who wants to
access CRM data, perform order entry, or
get quotes should have a copy of Sales
Edition. This usually means that one
copy would be licensed to each sales
person in the organization.
Q. Is there a discount when
buying multiple copies of Sales Edition?
A. Yes. Sales Edition is tiered
to offer discounts at a quantity of 2
and 21. Contact an authorized
SellingPoint sales representative to get
a custom estimate that fits your needs.
Q. What type of internet
connection will I need?
A. SellingPoint will function
on almost any internet connection, but a
broadband connection of 256K or better
is recommended per user.
Q. Can I create my own
reports or am I limited to the ones
included in SellingPoint?
A. SellingPoint uses a reporting system
that is extensible, making it possible
to edit existing reports to fit your
needs and even create completely new
reports. Reports are based on standard
RDL authoring. For those who purchase
the Report Builder optional component,
creating new reports and modifying
existing ones is much simplified.
Q. Who is SellingPoint
Sales Edition designed for?
A. SellingPoint Sales Edition is
designed for use outside of the
manufacturing company,
for use by dealers, resellers, and sales personnel who are authorized
to take orders and request quotes on
behalf of customers.
Generally those inside of the company,
or those who do not have authorization
to request this type of information,
would not use Sales Edition.
Q. Does the SellingPoint
Evaluation Kit have an expiration date?
A. Yes. The version of SellingPoint
Management Studio included on the
evaluation kit is a fully functional
copy of the application and, upon
activation, will function for 30 days.
An extension to the trial can be
requested if a longer evaluation period
is required.
Q. How much does SellingPoint
Sales Edition cost?
A. Pricing is offered as a
quote from an authorized SellingPoint
sales representative.
Q. Can I try SellingPoint
Sales Edition?
A. Yes. An evaluation kit is
available free of charge and is
available here.
